Frederick William, Prince of Nassau-Weilburg (Friedrich Wilhelm, 25 October 1768, The Hague – 9 January 1816, Weilburg) was a ruler of Nassau-Weilburg. He was created Prince of Nassau and reigned jointly with his cousin, Prince Frederick Augustus of Nassau-Usingen, who became Duke of Nassau.
Early life and education. William was born on 24 April 1533 at Dillenburg Castle in the County of Nassau-Dillenburg, in the Holy Roman Empire (now in Hesse, German Federal Republic ). He was the eldest son of Count William I of Nassau-Siegen and his second wife, Countess Juliana of Stolberg.
