William IV (German: Wilhelm IV; 13 November 1493 – 7 March 1550) was Duke of Bavaria from 1508 to 1550, until 1545 together with his younger brother Louis X, Duke of Bavaria. He was born in Munich to Albert IV and Kunigunde of Austria, a daughter of Emperor Frederick III.

Guillermo IV de Baviera ( Múnich, 13 de noviembre de 1493 - 7 de marzo de 1550) fue duque de Baviera entre 1508 y 1550, junto con su hermano Luis X, que fue duque entre 1516 y 1545. Nació en Múnich y era hijo del duque Alberto IV y de la archiduquesa Cunegunda de Austria, hija del emperador Federico III . Actividad política.
The six sons of Louis IV, ruled jointly until 1349, when they divided the land: Louis V, Louis VI and Otto VII kept Upper Bavaria; William, Albert and Stephen Lower Bavaria. In 1351 Louis VI and Otto gave up their inheritance in Bavaria, in exchange of the Electoral dignity in Brandenburg .
