UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The World Heritage Committee has divided the world into five geographic zones which it calls regions: Africa, Arab states, Asia and the Pacific, Europe and North America, and Latin America and the Caribbean.
The World Heritage Committee develops selection criteria for inscribing properties on the World Heritage List, and draws up Operational Guidelines for the Implementation of the World Heritage Convention, setting out among other principles those of monitoring and reporting for properties on the List.
19 de sept. de 2023 · Del 16 al 20 de septiembre, el Comité inscribió 42 nuevos sitios (33 culturales, 9 naturales) en la Lista del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO, con lo que el total asciende a 1199 (993 culturales, 227 naturales, 39 mixtos).
