Yang Shangkun (chino simplificado: 杨尚昆, chino tradicional: 楊尚昆, pinyin/Wade-Giles: Yáng Shàngkūn; Tongnan, 3 de agosto de 1907- Pekín, 14 de septiembre de 1998) fue un político chino. Fue presidente de la República Popular China entre 1988 y 1993.

Before his death in 1998, Yang Shangkun told army doctor Jiang Yanyong that 4 June was the most serious mistake committed by the Communist Party in its history, a mistake that Yang himself could not correct, but one that certainly will eventually be corrected. Zhao Ziyang remained under house arrest until his death in 2005.
