El Distrito de Altenburger Land (en alemán: Landkreis Altenburger Land) es un landkreis (distrito) en el estado federado de Turingia ( Alemania ). Parte del territorio coincide con la comarca alrededor de la ciudad de Altenburgo, ahora capital del distrito.
Altenburger Land is a district in Thuringia, Germany. It is bounded by (from the west and clockwise) the district of Greiz, the Burgenlandkreis (Saxony-Anhalt), and the districts Leipzig, Mittelsachsen and Zwickau in Saxony. The district is a member of the Central German Metropolitan Region.
Das Altenburger Land liegt im äußersten Osten Thüringens. Es ist in weiten Teilen landwirtschaftlich geprägt, so beträgt die landwirtschaftliche Nutzfläche fast drei Viertel der Gesamtfläche.
