Chigwell is a town and civil parish in the Epping Forest District of Essex, England. It is part of the urban and metropolitan area of London, and is adjacent to the northern boundary of Greater London. It is on the Central line of the London Underground .

Chigwell is a London Underground station in the town of Chigwell in the Epping Forest district of Essex. It is located on the Hainault Loop of the Central line , between Grange Hill and Roding Valley stations.
Chigwell lies in the south-west corner of Ongar hundred, on both banks of the Roding, at a distance of 12 miles from London. The ancient parish had an area of 5,009 acres. It contained three distinct sections. The village of Chigwell, on the east side of the Roding, was the main settlement and included the parish church.
