The Khanate of Kokand ( Persian: خاننشین خوقند; Khānneshin-e Khoqand, Chagatay: خوقند خانليغى Khoqand Khānliği) was a Central Asian polity [2] in the Fergana Valley centred on the city of Kokand between 1709 and 1876. Its territory is today divided between Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Kazakhstan .

Kokand, city, eastern Uzbekistan. It lies in the western Fergana Valley, at road and rail junctions from Tashkent to the valley. The ancient town of Khavakend occupied the site from at least the 10th century and was situated on the caravan route from India and China.
