Barbara Stanwyck (/ ˈ s t æ n w ɪ k /; born Ruby Catherine Stevens; July 16, 1907 – January 20, 1990) was an American actress, model and dancer. A stage, film, and television star, during her 60-year professional career she was known for her strong, realistic screen presence and versatility.
Barbara was equally at home in all genres, from melodramas, such as Forbidden (1932) and Stella Dallas (1937), to thrillers, such as Double Indemnity (1944), one of her best films, also starring Fred MacMurray (as you have never seen him before).

Es «uno de los mitos del Séptimo Arte » y una de las mujeres fatales más emblemáticas de la historia del cine.
