Speaks fluent Spanish. Is of Mexican descent. His stage name, Cheech, is derived from chicharron. Avid collector of Mexican art. Has three children. Has been married three times. His character's name in From Dusk Till Dawn, Oscar Marin (Border Guard), is a homage to his father.
They have to cross the border and to go to Mexico to meet their boss Carlos. Soon they realize they need help so they kidnap a family and hide themselves in its big camper. The group enters successfully in Mexico and drives to the meeting point, the 'Titty Twister', a place open from dusk till dawn.
