Martell is a cognac house founded in 1715 by Jean Martell. It is the oldest of the "big four" cognac houses (the others are Hennessy, Rémy Martin and Courvoisier), who together produce most of the world's cognac.
On a visit to Martell, one can experience the historical Cognac production from distillation to the bottling of the final spirit. Then one can visit the private home of Jean Martell, which lies on the boards of the Charente river in the Borderies cru.
Martell is the number one international prestige cognac. Founded in 1715, Martell is the oldest of the great cognac houses, drawing on 300 years of savoir-faire to transform grapes from the Charente region into exceptionally pure eaux-de-vie using a traditional double-distillation method.
