While filming the first two Superman movies in England, Reeve began a 10-year relationship with modeling executive Gae Exton. Jane Seymour revealed at the TCM Classic Film Festival in 2022 that Reeve and Exton had broken up prior to filming of Somewhere in Time , and during production, Reeve and Seymour fell in love.
