They divorced in 1983, as he was having a public affair with Look of the Year contest finalist Stephanie Seymour, 15 years old at the time. In 1993, the 50-year-old Casablancas married his third wife, 17-year-old Aline Mendonça de Carvalho Wermelinger, winner of Elite Model Look 1992 in Brazil.
At the age of 14, she began dating 42 year old John Casablancas, the head of Elite Model Management, who was, at the time, married to model Jeanette Christiansen. The couple lived together before Seymour broke off the relationship. From 1989 to 1990, she was married to guitarist Tommy Andrews. They have a son named Dylan together.
