  2. The Oberlin Conservatory of Music is a private music conservatory of Oberlin College, a private liberal arts college in Oberlin, Ohio. It was founded in 1865 and is the second oldest conservatory and oldest continually operating conservatory in the United States.

  3. See all Conservatory webcasts. Each year Oberlin Conservatory of Music live streams roughly 400 concerts from eight campus venues. These live streams showcase student ensembles and degree recitals, master classes and jazz clinics, as well as performances by select faculty and guest artists.

  4. Oberlins Musical Studies major is designed for students in the Bachelor of Arts program with serious prior musical training. Students take courses in both the college and the conservatory to build foundations in music theory, musicianship skills, and music history.

  6. At Oberlin, the College of Arts and Sciences and the Conservatory of Music share one campus. Interdisciplinary coursework provides opportunities for students who are interested in pursuits that combine music and the broader liberal arts.

  7. Oberlin Arts and Sciences Ensembles. Oberlin sponsors approximately 500 concerts on campus each year. This includes recitals and concerts by the more than 25 student ensembles, and performances and master classes by guest artists. Faculty members perform on campus and throughout the world.
