    Tours will run from the start of September through to the end of December. During October, Illuminations Tours will run daily. During September, November and December, tours will be running Wednesday to Sunday. Please note: Due to the World Fireworks Championship, no tours will take place on 7th September, 14th September and 5th October in 2024.

    You’ll get amazing views of the whole illuminated promenade, all three piers and every bulb on the coastline! Starting at our Pleasure Beach tram stop, the tour takes you through our North Pier/Tower, Cabin and Little Bispham stops. Once you have completed the first stretch from Pleasure Beach to Little Bispham, you can leave the tour at any of the...

    The tour starts at our ‘Heritage Tram Tours’ stop – just across from the Pleasure Beach beside Sandcastle Waterpark. Please see the map below for the boarding location.

    The Illuminations Tour lasts for 1 hour but can run slightly longer. Due to how busy the promenade is during the Illuminations, slight delays can occur. Blackpool’s regular service trams run at the same time as our Illuminations Tours, which can also cause slight delays. This just means you get longer to take in the sights and the lights!

    If you’ve seen Blackpool lit up during the Illuminations, you’ll be familiar with the HMS Blackpool and the Western Train. These are lit up with thousands of bulbs as you glide down the promenade! We also have our double deck Heritage Trams that provide a view from above of the amazing promenade!     Due to the age of our trams, the majority are not equipped with wheelchair accessibility. Our Western Train has an electric lift and space for one wheelchair onboard.
