Scott es célebre por haber sido el segundo vocalista de la banda de hard rock AC/DC desde 1974 hasta su muerte en el año 1980, sustituyendo a Dave Evans, quien solo participó en dos sencillos de la banda, por lo que muchos consideran a Bon como el cantante original, ya que fue él quien participó en la primera discografía de AC/DC.

Bon Scott, best remembered as the frontman of the legendary hard rock band AC/DC during the 1970s, was born in Forfar, Scotland on July 9th 1946. He moved to Melbourne, Australia in 1952, and eventually settled in Fremantle. In the July 2004 issue of Classic Rock, Scott was rated as number one in a list of the 100 Greatest Frontmen of all time.

Bon’s early music career started with The Spektors and The Valentines, two cover bands where Bon developed his drumming and lead singing. Both were fundamentally cover bands, releasing versions of songs by The Easybeats, The Foundations, and others.
