Garry Kent Marshall (November 13, 1934 - July 19, 2016) was an American actor and filmmaker. He started his career in the 1960s writing for The Lucy Show and The Dick Van Dyke Show before he developed Neil Simon's 1965 play The Odd Couple for television in 1970.
Played the husband of his real-life sister Penny Marshall in Hocus Pocus (1993). Marshall was known for the photo albums he made on each of his movies, taking separate pictures of himself with every member of the huge cast and crew.
