Hampstead Garden Suburb is an elevated suburb of London, north of Hampstead, west of Highgate and east of Golders Green. It is known for its intellectual, liberal, artistic, musical and literary associations.

Hampstead Garden Suburb is located in North West London, England, approximately 7 miles from the centre of London. Founded in 1907 by Dame Henrietta Barnett, it is internationally recognised as one of the finest examples of early twentieth century domestic architecture and town planning, and home to approximately 13,000 people.
In 1968 the New Hampstead Garden Suburb Trust was set up to "do all things possible in order to maintain and preserve the present character and amenities" of the Suburb. This organisation had little real power at that time, but could influence other bodies, such as the local planning authority, in protecting the special character of the Suburb.
Situated to the north-west of Hampstead Heath, Hampstead Garden Suburb is the most architecturally successful of London’s planned suburbs.
