  2. The causes of land nationalisation and the taxation of land values powerfully appealed to Taylor. Taylor became a leading member of the Land Reform Union , and of the League for Taxing Land Values, addressing in their behalf large audiences, chiefly of working men, both in England and Ireland.

Helen had strong views on morality; she was a member of the Moral Reform Union and the National Vigilance Association.
