The House of Habsburg ( / ˈhæpsbɜːrɡ /, German: Haus Habsburg, pronounced [haʊ̯s ˈhaːpsˌbʊʁk] ⓘ ), also known as the House of Austria, [note 6] is one of the most prominent and important dynasties in European history.
