In 2019, Simmons reprised his role of J. Jonah Jameson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) film Spider-Man: Far From Home, as a cameo in the mid-credits scene. He is the second actor to portray the same character in both a non-MCU and MCU film, following Lou Ferrigno as the voice of the Hulk .
As of 2011, has made five films with director Sam Raimi: For Love of the Game (1999); The Gift (2000); Spider-Man (2002); Spider-Man 2 (2004); and Spider-Man 3 (2007). He won many awards from 2005 to 2007 in Screen Actors Guild Awards.
