Biografía. Wimpfeling estudió en la escuela de Ludwig Dringenberg de Sélestat, y más tarde cursó filosofía y teología a partir de 1464 en Friburgo de Brisgovia, a partir de 1466 en Erfurt y entre 1469-70 en la Universidad de Heidelberg, donde más tarde sería profesor.

Jakob Wimpfeling (25 July 1450 – 17 November 1528) was a Renaissance humanist and theologian . Biography. Wimpfeling was born in Schlettstadt (now Sélestat ), Alsace, Lorraine. He went to the school at Schlettstadt, which was run by Ludwig Dringenberg, the founder of the Humanist Library of Sélestat.
