James Wesley Marsters (Greenville, California; 20 de agosto de 1962) es un actor y músico estadounidense. Es más conocido por interpretar a Spike en la serie Buffy the Vampire Slayer y su spin-off, Ángel , ambas de UPN , de 1997 a 2004, y a Victor Stein en la serie de Hulu Runaways , ubicada dentro del Universo cinematográfico de Marvel .
Aside from playing Spike, Marsters co-wrote a comic book one-shot for Dark Horse Comics, Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Spike and Dru. After Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel ended, Marsters became active with the canonical comic book series of both shows, particularly with stories centering around his character.
After appearing in several guest roles he finally got his big break as Spike in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997). Originally, the character was suppose to be killed after a few episodes but Spike became so popular that he was promoted to a regular on the show.
