Landshut (German: [ˈlantshuːt] ⓘ; Bavarian: Landshuad) is a town in Bavaria in the south-east of Germany. Situated on the banks of the River Isar, Landshut is the capital of Lower Bavaria, one of the seven administrative regions of the Free State of Bavaria.

Landshut es una ciudad del estado alemán de Baviera, a orillas del río Isar. Es la capital de la Baja Baviera, una de las siete regiones administrativas en las que se divide el estado bávaro. En 2019 contaba con algo más de 72 400 habitantes, lo que la convierte en la segunda mayor ciudad del este de Baviera, después de Ratisbona .
Landshut is the capital of Lower Bavaria and also one of the main tourist destinations in the region so there is a good variety of accommodation in and around the town. Much of it is located near the historic centre or on the banks of the Isar river.
