Olga's niece, Anastasia, was killed in 1918, but her remains were not discovered until many years after Olga's death. Many impostors claimed to be Anastasia. In 1925, Olga and Colonel Kulikovsky travelled to Berlin to meet Anna Anderson, who claimed to be Olga's niece, Grand Duchess Anastasia Nikolaevna of Russia.
