Oriel College (/ ˈ ɔː r i əl /) is a constituent college of the University of Oxford in Oxford, England. Located in Oriel Square, the college has the distinction of being the oldest royal foundation in Oxford (a title formerly claimed by University College, whose claim of being founded by King Alfred is no longer promoted).

Oriel was the fifth college to be founded at Oxford. It began with a Provost and just 10 Fellows, all graduates, who studied Theology, Law and Medicine. The college prospered and grew.
Mary Hall was acquired by Oriel College in 1326: Bedel Hall, which adjoins St. Mary's to the south, was given by Bishop Carpenter of Worcester in 1455. These two halls, along with St. Martin's Hall, served as annexes for Oriel College.
