Sicily ( Italian: Sicilia, pronounced [siˈtʃiːlja] ⓘ; Sicilian: Sicilia, [sɪˈ (t)ʃiːlja] ⓘ) is the largest and most populous island in the Mediterranean Sea and one of the 20 regions of Italy. It is one of the five Italian autonomous regions and is officially referred to as Regione Siciliana.

Sicilia es una de las veinte regiones de Italia que conforman la República Italiana. Aquí se encuentran dos de las mayores ciudades italianas, Palermo y Catania, y tiene una población de alrededor de 5 000 000 de habitantes. Es la cuarta región más poblada del país —tras Lombardía, Lacio y Campania— y con 25 833 km², la más extensa.
