Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, founded in 1810, is a testament to the classical ideal of higher education. As one of the oldest universities in Berlin, it was established on principles laid down by the scholar Wilhelm von Humboldt, emphasising the unity of teaching and research and the value of fostering holistic education.
