As a member of the Coalition for Access, Affordability, and Success, the University of Florida uses the Coalition Application. Complete all sections of the application, including the UF supplemental section, and submit it no later than November 1, along with the $30 nonrefundable application fee plus $5 processing fee or fee waiver.
You will be asked to submit one personal essay. The personal essay will allow the admissions staff to get to know who you are as a student. Your essay should be limited to approximately 550 words.
The SSAR is the self-reported transcript of your high school grades from 9th-11th and courses in progress for grade 12. The SSAR is required for all freshman applicants including applicants who have already graduated from high school.
All freshman applicants must complete a SSAR with the following exceptions: Instead of the SSAR, GED graduates must submit their official GED results, along with official partial high school transcript(s). The redesigned SAT will now consist of two sections (evidence-based reading and writing and math) with an optional essay. The score scale will range from 400 to 1600 with the essay being scored separately. The total test time is now 3 hours (+50 minutes if taking the SAT with essay). When to Apply. Starting in the Fall of 2024, the University of Florida will provide two options for prospective students to apply: Early Action (EA) and Regular Decision (RD). EA is a non-binding way to apply to UF and receive an admission decision sooner than those applying in the RD round.
Students who will receive their high school diploma and an Associate of Arts degree or 60 college credits at the same time should apply using the Common App. On your application, select a specific major and UF college.
