CUSO PhD programs. For several years, the University of Geneva has been developing doctoral programmes in its faculties or in collaboration with the Universities of Fribourg, Lausanne and Neuchâtel, within the framework of the Conference of Universities of Western Switzerland (CUSO).
All those admitted to the University of Neuchâtel with a view to obtaining a doctorate are considered to be doctoral candidates. Doctoral candidates may work as assistants at the same time, in which case the University funds their research.

We offer BA and MA-level programs in English, and we participate in the Swiss CUSO doctoral school. UniNe students on their way to Queen Maev's Cairn, Knocknarea, County Sligo, Ireland, May 2024. Courses are taught by scholars who are very active in their respective fields and who value the contribution of research to teaching.
The UniNE offers a huge range of Bachelor programmes, in many disciplines and with various orientations, and thirty different Master programmes. In addition, some six hundred doctoral students follow doctoral programmes in innovative fields which respond to the needs of “Society 4.0”.
