  2. Winchester College is a boarding school for boys in Years 9 – 13. The Sixth Form welcomes girls and boys as day pupils and is preparing for the entry of girls as boarders when construction of two new boarding houses is complete. It was founded by William of Wykeham in 1382 and is one of the world’s most famous and distinguished schools.

  4. We welcome pupils to our Sixth Form to study alongside other ambitious girls and boys and to make the most of everything Winchester has to offer.   6. Winchester Entrance is designed to give all candidates the opportunity to demonstrate their academic potential, irrespective of their previous educational setting. The majority of candidates will undertake the Winchester Entrance exam in the April/May of Year 8, either at their own school or at an approved centre.
