The 1992 Formula One World Championship was the 46th season of FIA Formula One motor racing. It featured the 1992 Formula One World Championship for Drivers and the 1992 Formula One World Championship for Constructors, which were contested concurrently over a sixteen-race series that commenced on 1 March and ended on 8 November.

The 1992 FIA Formula 1 World Championship was the 43rd F1 season. It consisted of 16 Grand Prix rounds, held across 15 different countries. Nigel Mansell won the Drivers’ Championship and Williams won the Constructors’ Championship.
With the Williams FW14B-Renault now fully sorted and reliable, there was never any doubt who would be crowned World Champion. Williams was so dominant in the early part of the season that its drivers led every mile until lap 71 of the sixth round.

The 1992 Mexican Grand Prix was a Formula One motor race held at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City on 22 March 1992. It was the second race of the 1992 Formula One World Championship. The 69-lap race was won from pole position by British driver Nigel Mansell, driving a Williams-Renault.
