The Faculty of Economics offers five graduate (Advanced Diploma in Economics, MPhil in Economics, MPhil in Economic Research, MPhil in Finance and Economics and PhD in Economics) programmes of studies. The brief descriptions on these pages can help you find out which programme is right for you.
This is the most advanced programme of graduate studies in Economics at Cambridge. Upon its completion, candidates are awarded a PhD degree for producing a thesis of high-quality, original, and publishable research over a period of four years (full-time) and seven years (part-time).
