Chip Taylor (born James Wesley Voight; March 21, 1940) is an American songwriter and singer noted for writing "Angel of the Morning" and "Wild Thing".
Chip Taylor originally did Fly by Night, Sweet Dream Woman, Early Sunday Morning, A Little Bit Later on Down the Line and other songs. Chip Taylor wrote Angel of the Morning, Wild Thing and Any Way That You Want Me.

Started writing songs as young teenager, went on to record 23 solo albums. Chip Taylor is responsible for one of the most famous songs to come out of the 1960s—The Troggs’ 1966 hit “Wild Thing,” which was famously covered in 1967 by Jimi Hendrix.
