Icon is a studio album recorded and released by Asia band members John Wetton and Geoffrey Downes in 2005. It is the first in the Icon series (though they previously released the album Wetton Downes in 2002, a collection of demos from the 1980s).

This is the U.S. release of John Wetton & Geoffrey Downes’ first Icon CD. This edition includes the bonus track from the Japanese edition, Heat of the Moment ’05, plus two additional bonus tracks.

John Kenneth Wetton (12 June 1949 – 31 January 2017) was an English musician, singer, and songwriter. Although he was left handed, he was known as a dexterous right handed bass player and had a booming baritone voice. He joined the band Family in 1971 for a short time before joining King Crimson in 1972.

12 de mar. de 2009 · La claridad de voz y tono de John dejan patente que, si bien ya no es el que fue, aún está a la altura de su pasado, y las expectativas se cumplen. Bien es cierto que a esto ayuda mucho el carácter melódico del álbum, sin grandes exigencias para el bajista.
