Beginning in 1878 the D. H. Burnham family with horses made a yearly pilgrimage from Riverside. Walter Keith had a cottage at Arch Beach, one of the first Riversiders, also the Burgess family. A man named Victor, once Supervisor of San Bernardino County, had a lot to do with Arch Beach.
