The Lake of the Ozarks is located within the Ozark Mountains, with Bagnell Dam lying at an elevation of 659 feet (201 m) above sea level. It lies in central Missouri on the Salem Plateau of the Ozarks.
Containing about 10,600 acres of water Ozark Lake provides exceptional recreational adventure and outdoor fun within its 173-mile shoreline. Multi-species fishing is good year-round. Recreational facilities found nearby include picnic and camping amenities, RV Park, boat ramps, hiking trails, playground equipment, and overlook pavilion.
The Ozarks region is dotted with smaller lakes, good for a day of fishing from the bank or a rowboat, or for kayaking and canoeing. And Missouri and NW Arkansas have some excellent rivers which serve as the backdrop for fishing vacations, or canoeing and kayaking adventures.
