Libourne (French pronunciation: ⓘ; Gascon: Liborna [liˈbuɾnɔ]) is a commune in the Gironde department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine in southwestern France. It is a sub-prefecture of the department. It is the wine -making capital of northern Gironde and lies near Saint-Émilion and Pomerol .
