23 de jun. de 2020 · Upper-secondary education is not compulsory, but there are plans to make it so by 2030 and also to add a 12th year of schooling to align Colombia’s system with the vast majority of education systems worldwide.
In Colombia, 21% of this age group are enrolled in general upper secondary education and 9% in vocational upper secondary education. A further 19% are enrolled in lower secondary programmes and 10% in tertiary programmes.
