The opening scene with the raid on the tenement building does an amazing job setting up the near apocalyptic tone for the rest of the film. While I'd say Dawn loses some of the tactile qualities of the first film, it's amazing how much it is able to maintain given the wider scale.
During an ever-growing epidemic of zombies that have risen from the dead, two Philadelphia SWAT team members, a traffic reporter, and his television-executive girlfriend seek refuge in a secluded shopping mall.
