Electric Light Orchestra (ELO) es una banda británica de rock sinfónico y rock progresivo oriunda de Birmingham y liderada por el músico Jeff Lynne. [1] La ELO se formó para dar cabida al deseo de Lynne y de Roy Wood de crear canciones de rock modernas con tintes clásicos.
Jeffrey "Jeff" Lynne OBE (Birmingham, Inglaterra, 30 de diciembre de 1947) es un músico, compositor, cantante, guitarrista y productor discográfico británico célebre por ser líder y miembro del grupo Electric Light Orchestra así como del supergrupo Traveling Wilburys junto a George Harrison, Bob Dylan, Roy Orbison y Tom Petty.
He is the co-founder and currently the sole member of the rock band Electric Light Orchestra (ELO), which was formed in 1970, and as a songwriter has written most of the band's hits, including "Evil Woman", "Livin' Thing", "Telephone Line", "Mr. Blue Sky", "Don't Bring Me Down" and "Hold On Tight".
