Biografía. Primeros años. Nació en Chicago, Illinois el 6 de noviembre de 1955. Sus padres son católicos y es la segunda hija, única mujer, del político Sargent Shriver y de Eunice Kennedy Shriver, hermana del presidente John F. Kennedy.
