There is always something new at the Palm Springs Air Museum, which is home to one of the world’s largest collections of static & flyable aircraft from WWII through the War on Terror. Unlike many other museums, our air-conditioned hangars have no ropes to keep you from interacting with our exhibits.

The museum encompasses five themed hangars, outdoor displays, and a visitor center that includes a resource center with flight simulators.

Manned kites date all the way back to China, circa 500 B.C. Fast forward to the early 15 th century, when Leonardo da Vinci drafted schematics for mechanical wings and parachutes shaped like pyramids.
