Damián Emiliano Martínez Romero (born 2 September 1992) is an Argentine professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Premier League club Aston Villa and the Argentina national team. Martínez trained at Independiente's youth ranks before moving to Premier League club Arsenal in 2010.
Gracias a su actuación en la Copa Mundial 2022, Emiliano Martínez ganó el The Best FIFA como el mejor arquero del mundo en 2022 y el Trofeo Yashin en 2023, siendo así el primer arquero argentino en ganar dichos premios.
