23 de ene. de 2019 · Gymnopedie No.1 by Erik Satie (1866-1925) as orchestrated by Claude Debussy (1862-1918). Serge Koussevitzky (1874-1951) conducting the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This recording dates from 1930 and was coupled with Bolero in RCA Victor's two-record set M-352. This transfer comes from the 1947 reissue of that same set as DM-352.

The Gymnopédies are the first compositions with which Erik Satie tried to cut himself loose from the conventional 19th century “salon music” environment of his father and stepmother.
