21 de feb. de 2024 · Indirect inguinal hernias arise lateral and superior to the course of the inferior epigastric vessels, lateral to Hesselbach's triangle, and then protrude through the deep (internal) inguinal ring into the inguinal canal. The hernial sac and content often pass inferomedially within the canal to emerge via the superficial inguinal ring.
Age: 12 years. Gender: Male. ultrasound. Left inguinal area shows herniated omental content and free fluid through the internal inguinal ring filling the inguinal canal, in keeping with indirect inguinal hernia. Case Discussion. Indirect inguinal hernia with herniation of descending colon - proximal sigmoid colon along with sigmoid mesentery into the scrotum. There is associated mild fluid around the bowel. No evident bowel mural thickening, features of ischemia or obstruction.
Consiste en que la hernia comprime y desplaza lateralmente a los componentes del canal inguinal (vasos testiculares, conducto deferente,…) y a la grasa, adoptando una morfología que recuerda a la luna en fase creciente .
