21 de feb. de 2024 · Indirect inguinal hernias arise lateral and superior to the course of the inferior epigastric vessels, lateral to Hesselbach's triangle, and then protrude through the deep (internal) inguinal ring into the inguinal canal. The hernial sac and content often pass inferomedially within the canal to emerge via the superficial inguinal ring.

21 de feb. de 2024 · This type of hernia is termed direct as the hernial sac directly protrudes through the inguinal wall, in contrast to indirect inguinal herniae which arise through the deep inguinal ring and enter the inguinal canal. Since direct hernias do not have a guiding path, they seldom extend into the scrotum unless very large and chronic.

Resumen. Si bien el diagnóstico de hernias de la pared abdominal es clínico y el estudio más indicado es la ecografía, en una gran cantidad de casos es difícil su evaluación o no se sospecha su presencia debido al biotipo del paciente, la ausencia de síntomas, la aparición de complicaciones o corresponde a algún tipo de hernia poco frecuente.

Presentation. Right inguinal swelling and pain in abdomen since 12 hours. Patient Data. Age: 3 years. Gender: Male. ultrasound. Right inguinal hernia was noted containing small bowel loop, with hernia sac lateral to inferior epigastric artery.
