  1. Symphonic Dances from West Side Story was composed by Leonard Bernstein in 1960. It is an orchestral suite in nine movements adapted from parts of his musical West Side Story. It was premiered by the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Lukas Foss, at New York's Carnegie Hall on February 13, 1961.
