  2. It's most definitely a lens out of alignment. I had the same issue: bought an Epson that was used upside down, so one of the lenses near the auto-iris flaps got its glue heated and slid out of place. If you are being careful and work in a dust-free environment, you can fix it yourself.

Tried different hdmi cables and the unit still does it even with nothing plugged in. The bulb only has 1234hrs and the projector worked fine last week. Any ideas?

  4. looks like an LCD panel is going. See this a lot with Hitachi/NEC and a blue hue. Not normally from the bottom though. Try unfocusing the picture to focus in on it. Dust should be visible as different coloured RGB specks. This is normally across the whole picture rather than localised. Do you clean the filter often? Could be heat ...

  5. Horizontal red area at the bottom of the display on EH-TW6700. I just changed my lamp which burned a few days ago on my EH-TW6700, and since I changed it, I have a horizontal red area at the bottom of the screen. I don't think the LCD burned out since it's really regular.
