Vertical angles are angles opposite each other where two lines cross. For example, ∠ A X D and ∠ B X C are vertical angles in the following diagram: Want to learn more about vertical angles? Check out this video. Practice set. Problem 1A. Are ∠ A P D and ∠ C P B vertical angles? All segments that appear straight are straight. Choose 1 answer: Yes.
Vertical angles are the angles that are opposite each other when two straight lines intersect. (Technically, these two lines need to be on the same plane) Vertical angles are congruent (in other words they have the same angle measuremnt or size as the diagram below shows.)
What Are Vertical Angles? Whenever two lines cross or intersect each other, four angles are formed. Out of these, the angles opposite to each other are called vertical angles or vertically opposite angles. Vertical angles are always congruent. Here, the pairs of vertical angles are. ∠1 & ∠3. ∠2 & ∠4.
It is vertical angles (plural) - a pair of non-adjacent angles formed when two lines intersect. There are two pair of vertical angles with intersecting lines, they are across from each other.

Vertical Angles are the angles opposite each other when two lines cross. "Vertical" in this case means they share the same Vertex (corner point), not the usual meaning of up-down. Example: a° and b° are vertical angles. The interesting thing here is that vertical angles are equal: a° = b°. (in fact they are congruent angles)
