Fortnite Community Battles are a series of events that take place bimonthly, and allows participants to battle for their chosen team in order to earn rewards such as Sprays, V-Bucks, Emoticons, Banners, Wraps, and Harvesting Tools.

The winning team in each battle is determined based on the amounts of points earned by each team. Team members can earn points by completing in-game actions, which are different for each series of Community Battles. Players are removed as participants if they are inactive for the event.

The first series of Community Battles went live on August 19th 2020 and lasted until August 23rd 2020. This consisted of 2 Daily Challenges, as well as one additional "Creator Challenge" each day.

To progress, players simply had to complete the 2 Daily Challenges, but didn't have to complete the Creator Challenge because it was optional. The faster you completed a Challenge, the more points you received for the leaderboard.

The second series of Community Battles went live on September 24th 2020 and ended on September 29th 2020. Players chose between 4 Teams with the Captains being: Fixx, Hey Stan, Standart Skill, and Syou.

Players collected points by completing in-game tasks. The more points they collected, the more Loot became available for their Team's Captain in the Show Match, which is a series of 4 matches.

The third series of community battles went live on October 28, 2020, and ended on DATE. The teams consisted of one original Fortnite outfit VS an outfit based on a Marvel character.

The points earned by each team member were determined by the amount of eliminations, Victory Royales and minutes played by each team member.

The fourth series of community battles went live on January 27, 2021, as a collaboration with the AFL. It lasted until January 31st, 2021. The teams available to choose were the 18 teams from the AFL.

As usual, players were removed as a participant for inactivity - not playing a match within 24 hours of signing up to the tournament.

Points were earned through 2 ways:

•Completing daily tasks called "fan tasks", which are similar to in-game Quests.

•Performing in-game actions in any core gamemode (Solo, Duo, Squad), which gave points for each action

    •Make a Victory Royale - 100 Points

The fifth series of Community Battles went live on February 10th 2021 and will end on February 17th 2021 along with the Hearts Wild event.
